FOX gets it wrong again :(
In their attempt to mimick the daily show, they have resorted to personal attacks and canned laughter... very sad :( I think they miss the point that is even in their title, that it's supposed to be a half hour NEWS hour
Let John show them how it's done :)

I liked it, needs some work, but it's supposed to be a pilot. I also like how crazy libs get with the debute of this show. I was ok with the Air America network. Liberals just can't stand free speach that disagrees with the left. Stop the hate, filthy haters.

More like the (what do you guys call yourself on the right) are just seriously lacking a valid sense of humor. Thus, the “libs” as you say do a better job of making fun of both the GOP and their own. Come on, the GOP is so uptight and rigid that they tried to impeach a president for getting a blow job. Really now, call it what you want, but it was about a guy getting some in the oval office. Instead of using it as an immense source of comic relief like the “libs” you and your party went nuts.
So the Fox attempt at humor did not work because they were trying to approach the subject with the same rigidly as everything else. The show could not even make stuff that could have been funny (possibly e.g. “Tell Mama I’m for Obama” ) because it lacked the laid back swagger of someone that was (1) witty and gifted with comic timing and (2) less concerned with getting a jab or political point across than simply being witty.
Take Bob Doyle’s example and lighten up. Then maybe you will be funny. That said, John Stewart is in a league of his own so good luck trying to find anybody to pull off a good parody or imitation.
