So I'm off to get a new one :) I want one like my old one that can do both road and trails.. especially since I want to do the Century ride this year after all my cycling in the NL.. whiich I have to say is a great place to ride.. not just cuz it's flat but there are bike lanes everywhere, separate from the road and crazy dutch drivers.. they even have a bike riders union (who knew?) who wants cars to have outside airbags to prevent head injuries (no joke).. they should try helmets and slowing down :D

The jetlag has me wide awake at 6 am so I went down to the beach to catch the sunrise.. everyone on the beach smiled and said hello :D I swam in the sea.. it was just what I needed to help heal the heartbreak and sadness of leaving the NL
(of course, Heinekens will also help)

It was a bit of a shock to arrive in New York after Holland.. and to think, it use to be called New Amsterdam! Things have certainly changed :)



Good thing this didnʻt happen to my plane! The trip was long.. but not too bad considering I went halfway around the world in the time it took to drive to drive to Switzerland and back.. but then, there were friends to make the time fly :)

Strange to watch celestial events from the other side of the world :)

The constellations are off and the sky not as dark, but I had to take advantage of the clear nights in Utrecht when they have them.. hope it's nice for the lunar eclipse since I have a great view of the moon from my apartment :)



Didn't see the Northern lights from the train as it went from Bergen to Oslo.. I guess you need to be more North and it has to be winter.. like that's going to happen :) It might since it's such a beautiful country and there are so many possible outdoor adventures!



Not as cool as the full lunar eclipse on Waikiki beach last year, but still nice

I want to sail on the tall ships!

Go figure! They are leaving from Bergen and going to the Netherlands.. and they need crew! Ugh.. why do I have to leave so soon :(
