The people in Gaza created an electric car :)

Lighting causes power outage :(

It was a complete blackout..

I've never seen Waikiki this dark :)

Wow.. we made an AP story... I guess because Obama was here :)

Whoo Hoo!, I got an iPhone for Xmas :) It is an amazing machine.. The number and versatility of the Apps that can be downloaded is huge.. I just need to resist the temptation to unlock it ;)

Barack Obama's here in Kailua Town

I have to say it is really strange having a President from the place you grew up.. and knowing all the things he's doing are what the locals do.. no mai tai's on the beach for him.. it's all plate lunch and shave ice for this guy.. so strange :)

I guess the media reported on him eating a spam musubi for lunch :P Article here In case you don't know what a spam musubi is, here's a video :)

At least there are no bears here :D

Now that the winter break is here, I can go camping :)

Great way to store bikes :)

The Dutch could use this to reduce bike thefts and wondering where you locked up the bike :) I wonder if this is automated or if there is a guy working underground? Nice idea but not so good if the power goes out :(

Floating homes I've seen, but floating subdivisions?

Leave it to the Dutch :) They have plans to build floating homes and roads on a lake.. Here's the link.. This could be a solution to sea level rising... from a country filled with houseboats :) DeltaSync's founder Rutger de Graaf says:

"What makes this plan special is that an entire residential district will be constructed on water. Floating homes are nothing new, but that's on a small scale. This plan comprises an entire district, including roads, infrastructure and public space: all urban facilities will float on water."

Bush get shoes thrown at him..

I don't think we've turned the corner in Iraq.. "The shoe represents the lowest part of the body (the foot) and displaying or throwing a shoe at someone or something in Arab cultures denotes that the person or thing is "beneath them"."Wikipedia

I so want an iPhone for Christmas ;D

Nothing like being at a Christmas party with a bunch of nerds showing off the iPhone and gPhone and talking Tech :D I really like the constellation viewer on the gPhone where you lift the phone to the sky and it names the constellation you are looking at based on the GPS info.. however, playing an iPhone like a ocarina was pretty cool!

I totally want to do this!

I can't believe all the Apps that people have come up with..

These guys are making millions off Apps like this. Read the article

Bodies Exhibit

Last week, I went to the Bodies Exhibit... I saw that it was in the Netherlands when I was there and many people have since recommended it, however, I was unsure I wanted to go due to the controversy involving the source of the bodies :( I wasn't that impressed since I have witnessed surgeries and dissections before which are a lot more graphic considering the blood factor.. I am surprised it is so popular.. morbid curiosity, I guess

I don't like the 20/20 report showing the money to be made from the Exhibit, however, I'm more worried about the practice of Organ Haresting from Chinese "political" prisoners.. I think they are just arresting people off the street since there is so much money to be made.. sick >:P

Flight Of The Conchords

Everyone needs to be cheered up once in a while ;)

These guys are funny.. in a strange way for sure :)

Lord of the Rings fans should find this funny ;)

Pearl Harbor Day

It's the big night in the Netherlands :)

I hope Sinterklaas brought something nice ;)

The Dutch are closing the coffeeshops and brothels?

They claim it's to reduce crime and keep it away from the schools :) Here's the article Usually making something illegal increases crime...

I think videos like this give the conservative government reasons to worry about their country's image.. but it's what brings in the tourist dollars :D

Click Here for the NY Times article on Hawaii going electric :)

So I'll switch my Hybrid car for one of these :D

Utrecht gets the Metal bands :)

So Bush has been joyful all this time :( pathetic

I can't believe he blames the recession on before he came in.. like the tax cuts and war in Iraq had nothing to do with it :( I'm glad everyday he's been President, he's been joyful.. tell that to the families that lost people to the war he wasn't ready for.. so sad

So it's hard to feel sorry for him when none of the worlds leaders want to touch him.. could be that he worked against them for eight years :(

TB focus on World AIDS Day

This is a hard TED lecture to watch :( XDR-TB

The Pacific Islanders are meeting this week to discuss TB in the Pacific Region.. met a few contacts to get my International Conference idea going :)

I hope they keep the country, country :)

Witnessing a celestial event of the crescent moon and Jupiter and Venus making a smiley face.. with my three lifelong friends on the North Shore... it was magical :) I should of taken a picture!

it looked more like this :)
